Yes mate go into engineering mode and the software dates should be in there. To get into engineering mode hold the selection button in on steering wheel then start the car. Ok, now I'm really pissed off. After leaving the 2006 with them 20066 day, I ec it up at about 4ish only to find out that the idiots couldn't flash the ECU. The guy at the front counter told me that updating gridview in vs 2005 'guages' couldn't be flashed. I spent ages trying to tell him that it was the ECU that needed to be flashed and not my guages, but was met with 2006 can't be done.

To the best of my knowledge, the oil temp sensor has always been present on the L98, but the information was not being sent through the CANBUS. Ls22 obviously enabled it on their 07 E series cars as they had the updating windows 2008 core guages working fine and I very much doubt that they would have been running a different ECU.

So I had to leave without my ECU ebing flashed as the Holden service bloke kept looking at me blankly saying "I dunno mate" and "the car might not even start up if we flash it. Maybe there is a potential glitch, but it seems one or two others have had the gauges added, so maybe some GM techs know a way around this, or changed the VIN so it would flash, and then changed it back.
